Microsoft Education Portal

I had the chance to meet Thomas Phang and Alan Chiew from Microsoft yesterday, thanks to Bruno Vun from Unit Kemajuan IT. Reminded me of the Microsoft Education Portal. Actually there are lots of info there that teachers will find useful. Why not spend some time there?

ICT Subject Briefing

There's going to be a briefing on the new ICT syllabus. I plan to have it on Friday 28 October at the Seminar Room, 5th Floor, SPA. At this moment, we just intend to show all teachers the new syllabus and give some information. I expect the meeting to end around 3.00 pm. Any questions, email me at roslynct@gmail.com.

Gmail Account

Why is a Gmail account good for you?
Well, you would have a storage capacity of nearly 3GB and increasing daily.
That means you don't need to delete your emails and keep all of them.
That means you can receive huge attachments..
That means you will never lose an email because your quota is exceeded.

If you want a Gmail account (which you can only get through an invitation), email me a request at roslynct@gmail.com and I will invite you in!

PDAs Good For Education

PDAs can help in collecting data, writing papers, checking facts, synching data with desktops and laptops, and collaborating on projects.

And to help you in making a decision, Dell is selling one of their PDAs for only RM1099. The Dell Axim X50 can also be bought with a zero interest credit card 12months' instalments. Only for Maybank and Citibank credit cards.

The Mobile Wireless Classroom

Imagine having PDAs in the classroom...
It involves quite a bit of money but it would be something to think about..
